Paraíso Douro AL is located in Lamego, 2.8 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary, and provides a balcony, garden, and free WiFi. The property features 10 rooms and 7 bungalows. Wow what a place to stay. The facility itself is impressive but the views even more impressive. The big challenge is getting there. A bit out of downtown Lamego and not easy to find even using Google maps. Missed the turn off three times - better signage would definitely help. Long winding road to get up to the facility so driving to get there late at night - need to be careful

Daniel at the reception was very responsive to emails prior to our arrival. He would immediately respond and truly went above and beyond! The entire staff at the hotel was superb! We had an incredible experience and treated us like royalty. Highly recommend.

Service, food (dinner for a modest fee served with the other guests were perfect after a day of exploring or relaxation at the pool and tasting room. Breakfast and all the fresh local bounty, along with fresh baked goods, meats and cheeses, was the best on our trip) hospitality, free flowing wine and port were truly exceptional. We had a room for ourselves and separate one for our teenage son. Both were large, comfortable, with well appointed bathrooms and views. This property and Miguel, the owner, blew away every expectation we had. The absolute best stay, and especially for the value, we had in our three weeks in Portugal. Cant wait to go back.

With its own orchard and vineyard, this 4-star hotel is situated 800 metres from Lamego’s centre. Guests at the Lamego can also savour the local cuisine for lunch and dinner. this was THE BEST hotel of our trip in portugal. Amazingly nice staff, beautiful property, and the most delicious breakfast you can imagine. Dinners in the restaurant were excellent too. Great location for exploring Douro Valley as well. We are dreaming of going back!

Offering mountain views, A Tendinha - Guest House is an accommodation located in Peso da Régua, 1.1 km from Douro Museum and 14 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary. The property and staff were faultless. The breakfast was excellent. We were seriously impressed

Moinhos do Paiva is set in Castelo de Paiva and features a private pool and mountain views. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Nuno is an outstanding host. He seems to have a special worldview. His place looks like a piece of heaven, he welcomed us with open arms, gave us recommendations around the village, allowed us to use all the facilities - unlimited pool, kitchen and public living room, check out until 2pm with an elaborate breakfast. He suggested us to stay even after checking out to use these facilities. The environment gives quality time with nature, we rested and enjoyed. Only one minor thing-the road to the place includes sharp descents with narrow road-alleys that only good drivers can manage. Thank you for the time in Paradise Nuno. We will definitely come back to stay.

Boasting garden views, Quinta de Travassinhos- Douro Valley offers accommodation with a rooftop pool, an indoor pool and an open-air bath, around 6.5 km from Douro Museum. Everything was great! The staff are super friendly and helpful.
